Terms & Conditions

The terms that apply when you use WayPoint Studio’s website and services.

Last updated: 18 September 2026

These Terms & Conditions explain the basis on which WayPoint Studio provides website design, website care, copywriting and related services.

By requesting, purchasing or agreeing to use our services, you agree to these terms.

About WayPoint Studio

WayPoint Studio is an independent UK website design business operated as a sole trader.

We provide website design, website care, copywriting and related website services.

Website: waypointstudio.co.uk
Email: info.andyk@gmail.com

Our services

The exact services provided will depend on the package, quote or proposal agreed with you.

Services may include:

  • Website design and development

  • Website redesign or refresh work

  • Additional website pages

  • Website care and maintenance

  • Website content updates

  • Copywriting and copy refresh services

  • Website-related support and advice

Any specific deliverables, prices, timescales, limits or exclusions agreed in writing will form part of our agreement with you.

Website package scope

Our website packages are based on both page count and overall project scope.

Starter Website includes up to 3 pages and up to 12 standard content sections across the website.

Standard Website includes up to 5 pages and up to 20 standard content sections across the website.

Premium Website includes up to 10 pages and up to 30 standard content sections across the website.

Additional standard sections are normally charged at £50 each, unless a different price is agreed in writing.

A standard section is a typical website content block such as a hero, introduction, services section, testimonials, gallery, FAQ, contact section or call-to-action.

Large, highly detailed or custom sections may count as more than one standard section.

Package suitability is based on the overall scope and complexity of the project, not page count alone.

Where the requested work materially exceeds the allowance or complexity of the chosen package, WayPoint Studio may recommend a higher package or provide a custom quote.

One-page and content-heavy websites

A one-page website is not automatically treated as a small project.

Large single-page websites containing many content sections, substantial copy, custom layouts, complex design work or advanced functionality may be priced according to the overall workload involved.

The same principle applies where unusually large amounts of content or design work are compressed into a small number of pages.

Quotes and pricing

Prices displayed on the WayPoint Studio website are starting prices unless stated otherwise.

The final price may depend on:

  • Number of pages

  • Number of content sections

  • Complexity

  • Functionality

  • Content requirements

  • Design requirements

  • Integrations

  • Timescale

  • Additional services

A clear quote will be provided before chargeable work begins.

Additional work requested outside the agreed scope may be charged separately.

We will normally confirm any additional charge before carrying out the extra work.

Deposit and payment

A 50% deposit is required before website design work begins.

The remaining 50% balance is due once the agreed website work is complete and before the completed website is launched, transferred, handed over or full administrative access is provided.

Payment terms for other services may be stated separately in the relevant quote or invoice.

Invoices must be paid within the payment period stated on the invoice.

Work may be paused where an agreed payment becomes overdue.

Starting work

Work will normally begin once:

  • The agreed deposit or initial payment has been received

  • The project scope has been agreed

  • Required information and materials have been provided

  • Any necessary access has been supplied

Estimated start dates may change if required information, content, payment or access is delayed.

Client responsibilities

The client is responsible for providing the information and materials reasonably required to complete the project.

This may include:

  • Website text

  • Images

  • Logos and brand assets

  • Contact details

  • Prices

  • Service information

  • Policies

  • Account or website access

  • Feedback

  • Approvals

Where copywriting has been purchased as an additional service, the client is not expected to provide finished website copy.

The client remains responsible for checking the accuracy of factual information relating to their business before publication.

Client materials and copyright

The client confirms that any images, logos, text, fonts or other materials supplied to WayPoint Studio are owned by them or properly licensed for use.

WayPoint Studio is not responsible for copyright or licensing problems caused by materials supplied by the client.

Website content

Unless copywriting is included in the agreed service, the client is responsible for supplying the written content required for the website.

Where WayPoint Studio provides copywriting or editing, the client remains responsible for checking and approving factual information before publication.

WayPoint Studio is not responsible for verifying legal, regulatory, medical, financial or other specialist claims supplied by the client.

Design and revisions

The number of revision rounds included depends on the chosen website package:

Starter Website — 1 revision round
Standard Website — 2 revision rounds
Premium Website — 3 revision rounds

A revision round means one consolidated list of reasonable changes submitted together after reviewing the work.

Revisions must relate to the agreed project scope.

A revision round does not include:

  • Unlimited changes

  • A complete redesign

  • Substantial new content

  • Additional sections

  • Additional pages

  • New functionality

  • A major change in design direction

Where a revision request is unusually extensive or falls outside the agreed scope, WayPoint Studio may treat part or all of the request as additional work and provide a separate quote.

We will let you know before carrying out additional chargeable work.

Additional work and scope changes

If the client requests additional pages, sections, functionality, content or other work after the project scope has been agreed, this may be treated as a scope change.

Depending on the amount of additional work, WayPoint Studio may:

  • Charge the applicable additional-section rate

  • Quote for additional pages or services

  • Recommend a higher package

  • Provide a custom quote

Any additional cost will normally be agreed before the additional work begins.

Project timescales

Any completion dates or timescales provided are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise in writing.

WayPoint Studio will make reasonable efforts to complete projects within the expected timeframe.

Project timescales depend on the client providing content, access, feedback and approvals when required.

Project delays

If the client does not respond or provide required content for more than 14 days, the project may be placed on hold.

Restarting the project will depend on current availability and may affect the original expected completion date.

Inactive projects

If a project remains inactive for more than 30 days because the client has not responded or supplied required material, payments already made may be retained to cover:

  • Work already completed

  • Time reserved for the project

  • Project administration

Any remaining work may need to be rescheduled depending on availability.

Review and approval

The client will normally be given an opportunity to review the website before launch.

The client is responsible for checking:

  • Spelling

  • Names

  • Contact details

  • Prices

  • Services

  • Links

  • Business information

  • Supplied legal or regulatory information

  • Other factual content

Once the client provides final approval, WayPoint Studio is not responsible for errors or omissions that were visible during the review stage unless they were introduced by WayPoint Studio after approval.

Third-party services and costs

Websites may use third-party services including:

  • Domain providers

  • Website platforms

  • Hosting

  • Business email

  • Paid apps

  • Plugins

  • Booking systems

  • Payment processors

  • Stock images

  • Fonts

  • Analytics services

  • Other integrations

Unless specifically included in the agreed quote, third-party charges are the client's responsibility.

WayPoint Studio is not responsible for outages, price increases, account issues, policy changes, discontinued features or other problems caused by third-party providers outside our reasonable control.

Domains and accounts

Where practical, important accounts such as domains, website platforms, email services and other essential services should be held in the client's name or under their control.

The client is responsible for keeping their account information and login details secure.

Ownership

Once full payment has been received, the client will own the final approved website content and original design work created specifically for their project, subject to any third-party platform, software, font, image, plugin, app or licence terms.

WayPoint Studio retains ownership of:

  • Unused concepts

  • Draft designs

  • Working files

  • Design methods

  • Templates

  • Processes

  • Pre-existing materials

  • General know-how

unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Portfolio use

Unless the client asks otherwise in writing, WayPoint Studio may display completed work in:

  • Our website portfolio

  • Social media

  • Marketing materials

  • Promotional material

and may identify the client's business as a client.

Website care plans

Website care plans provide the level of support stated in the chosen plan.

Work outside the included monthly allowance may be quoted separately or charged at an agreed rate.

Unused monthly support time does not automatically carry over to future months unless agreed in writing.

Care plans do not include, unless separately agreed:

  • Full website redesigns

  • New websites

  • Major functionality changes

  • Advanced SEO campaigns

  • Full copywriting or substantial rewrites

  • Large content uploads

  • Emergency recovery work

  • Third-party charges

Care plan cancellation

Monthly website care plans may be cancelled with 30 days' written notice.

Any work requested during the notice period must fall within the remaining monthly allowance or may be quoted separately.

Website performance and browsers

WayPoint Studio will make reasonable efforts to ensure websites display correctly on modern browsers and common screen sizes.

Exact appearance may vary slightly between:

  • Devices

  • Browsers

  • Screen sizes

  • Operating systems

Search engines and SEO

Where basic search-engine setup is included, work may include items such as:

  • Page titles

  • Meta descriptions

  • Image alt text

  • Heading structure

  • General site structure

Premium packages may include enhanced on-page search setup where stated.

Dedicated SEO campaigns, specialist SEO landing pages, backlink work, technical SEO audits and ongoing SEO services are separate unless specifically included.

WayPoint Studio cannot guarantee:

  • Search-engine rankings

  • Website traffic

  • Enquiries

  • Sales

  • Revenue

  • Conversion rates

Website security and backups

Reasonable care will be taken when working on client websites.

However, no website, hosting service or online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure or permanently available.

Ongoing backups, monitoring or security support are only included where stated in the chosen service or care plan.

Post-launch support

Website design packages include 7 days of basic post-launch support from the date the website is launched.

This support is intended to cover genuine launch-related issues or minor corrections connected to the completed project.

It does not include:

  • New content

  • Additional pages or sections

  • Redesign work

  • New functionality

  • Ongoing maintenance

  • Changes outside the agreed project scope

Any additional work requested after the 7-day post-launch support period may be quoted separately or handled through a Website Care plan.

Project files and client assets

WayPoint Studio may retain project files and client-supplied assets for up to 12 months after project completion for support and administrative purposes.

Clients are responsible for keeping their own copies of:

  • Final logo files

  • Images

  • Website copy

  • Brand assets

  • Documents

  • Other final files supplied to them

WayPoint Studio does not guarantee permanent storage of project files after the retention period.

Cancellation of website projects

Either party may cancel a project before completion by giving written notice.

If the client cancels after work has begun, the client may be required to pay for work already completed and reasonable costs already incurred.

Payments already made may be retained to cover work completed, time reserved and project administration, subject to applicable law.

Any statutory consumer cancellation rights that apply will take priority over these terms.

Suspension or refusal of work

WayPoint Studio may pause, refuse or cancel work where:

  • Payments are overdue

  • Required content or access has not been supplied

  • The requested work is unlawful

  • The requested work is misleading

  • The work is offensive or unsuitable for the business

  • There has been serious misuse or abusive behaviour

Where reasonably possible, we will explain the reason before suspending or ending the service.

Standard of service

WayPoint Studio will provide services with reasonable care and skill.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to remove statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms excludes liability where doing so would be unlawful.

Subject to applicable law, WayPoint Studio will not be responsible for indirect or consequential losses resulting from matters outside our reasonable control, including:

  • Third-party service failures

  • Hosting outages

  • Platform changes

  • Cyber incidents

  • Search-ranking changes

  • External software or integration failures

Where legally permitted, WayPoint Studio's total liability relating to a service will not exceed the amount paid by the client for the relevant service.

Data protection

Personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Information about website cookies is available in our Cookie Policy.

Confidentiality

WayPoint Studio will treat confidential information supplied during a project with reasonable care.

Information may be shared with third-party providers where reasonably necessary to provide the agreed service or where required by law.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with any part of our service, please contact WayPoint Studio so we have an opportunity to resolve the issue.

We will aim to deal with complaints fairly and within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to these Terms

WayPoint Studio may update these Terms & Conditions occasionally.

The latest version will be published on this page with an updated date.

Changes will not normally alter an existing agreed project unless both parties agree or a change is required by law.

Governing law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws applicable in England and Wales, subject to any mandatory consumer rights that apply.
